GIFT Fellows

Gray Institute for Functional Transformation (GIFT) is a 40-week mentorship in Applied Functional Science®. Through engaging education, encouragement, and empowerment, the program raises a select group of movement professionals to deliver an elite level of knowledge, care, and analytical ability. Graduates of GIFT, or Fellows of Applied Functional Science (FAFS), serve in all areas of training and therapy from local clinics and clubs to the highest levels of sport and care.

3DMAPS is a functional assessment system that empowers movement professionals to identify and treat dysfunction and deliver strategies and techniques to guide patients & clients to success. 3DMAPS is called "the holy grail of human movement" because of its comprehensive analysis tools and treatment/training systems. Professionals who have obtained their Certification in Applied Functional Science® (CAFS) can provide assessment, treatment, and training programs tailor-made for each individual patient or client. Using industry-specific language, CAFS is often called a "corrective exercise" certification because of the focus on developing individualized treatment and training that can be used to help correct dysfunction. Foot/Ankle Specialists (FAS) explore how the foot and ankle moves and affects everything the body does. Their understanding of the foot and ankle biomechanics impacts their ability to successfully treat and train people suffering from pain, dysfunction, and other injuries. Since most conventional movement education does not offer a comprehensive breakdown of the foot and ankle, practitioners often have to make educated guesses without understanding the true nature of the dysfunction.
