Despite the prevalence of the phrase “functional movement,” the treatment and training many movement professionals offer to their patients/clients doesn’t honor the integrated nature of the human body. When we fail to recognize that human movement is a Chain Reaction® and instead rely on customary evaluations and performance techniques, we may end up doing harm to those we intend to help.

Applied Functional Science® is a way of understanding human movement through the lens of the physical sciences, the biological sciences, and the behavioral sciences.
