Coach Golf the Way Every Body Was Designed to Move.

Two online certifications. One systematic framework.
Immediate application — on the range, in the studio, wherever you teach.

“Have you ever told a student exactly what to fix — and watched their body simply not allow it?”

Standard golf instruction was built around a standard body. When a student tries everything technically and still doesn’t improve, there’s usually a movement reason — a hip that won’t load, a thoracic spine that can’t rotate, a lead side that won’t hold the finish.

Without a framework for the body, you’re left improvising. Repeating the same cue louder. Managing a symptom instead of addressing a cause.

The gap between what you see in the swing and what’s happening in the body is exactly what this certification was built to close.

We Built This Knowing Who You Are

You shouldn’t have to guess when the technique looks right but something’s still wrong.

We know that feeling. It’s not a knowledge gap — it’s a framework gap. Most instruction systems were built around the swing. This one was built around the body that drives it — powered by Applied Functional Science® — and designed to work with every individual in front of you.

LPGA Tour professionals average a smash factor of 1.49, compared to 1.41 for amateur men — more efficiency, better contact, greater control. The movement principles behind that precision are exactly what this certification teaches. And they’re the same principles your students can access in every lesson you give them.

What Changes

Start coaching the body that drives the swing — not just the swing.

Imagine knowing exactly why a student’s backswing stalls — and having a systematic progression to address it, right there on the range. Imagine the lesson where something clicks and stays, because you coached the movement behind the mechanic.

So your golfers improve in ways that stick. And you always know why.

Common Questions

No. This certification was built for golf teaching and coaching professionals. It is not about becoming a fitness professional or adding a gym to your practice. The system works on the range, in a studio, or anywhere you already teach — no equipment needed, no fitness background required. It gives you a framework for understanding movement in the context of the golf swing, which is exactly the context you already work in.
None. The movement progressions in both certifications are designed to work without special equipment. Coaches regularly apply this system on the driving range with students who only have their golf club. The Coach Portal, which you gain access to after certifying, lets you send specific movement drills to your golfers so they can practice independently — again, no equipment required.
Both certifications are self-paced with a 24-month access window from the date of enrollment. Most coaches complete each certification within a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on their schedule — and many report applying what they are learning before they have finished the course. The content is structured to be immediately usable from the first session.
Yes. The dual certification retails for $599, and each certification individually retails for $329. The $249 rate is available through this page as part of the LPGA Professionals, GFAA, and Gray Institute partnership, through December 31, 2026. On January 1, 2027, the price increases to $349. There is no lower price available anywhere else.
This certification is offered through a partnership between Gray Institute, LPGA Professionals, and the Golf Fitness Association of America (GFAA). Gray Institute has been developing Applied Functional Science for over 40 years and created both certifications. GFAA established the formal partnership with LPGA Professionals that makes this member-exclusive rate possible. Learn more about how the certifications were developed →
